As with all things Tom Cruise, fact is usually stranger than fiction. We all know Tom is the unofficial King of Scientology and now he is taking a huge step to prove it even more so.
Reports say that the 53-year-old actor has put his $59 million Beverly Hills mansion on sale because he’s moving to America’s official “Sunshine State”.
“Tom hates living in L.A. and is relocating to Florida,” a source has said. “He thinks all the people in Hollywood are fake.”
(I’m sure Tom prefers the realness of fellow Scientologists who are awaiting instructions from some alien to return to their mothership…)
Of course Scientology has reportedly played a role in the change of base. The actor is said to have picked Florida because he wants to be close to the Scientology headquarters in Clearwater, which is on the state’s west coast.
Either that or Tom has finally succumbed to his love of wearing board shorts with his socks and dad sandals.
Whatever you may think of Tom Cruise and his involvement with Scientology, one thing is crystal clear. The
cult church most definitely has a very big say in everything to do with his life. From who he marries, to when he see his kids (reportedly he hasn’t seen Suri for over a year since Katie Holmes has removed her from Scientology) and even which movie roles he can accept.
Time will surely tell exactly why he has decided to move to Florida. Perhaps Scientology has found him to be Vitamin D deficient and have prescribed a good dose of sunshine for him!
