Chrissy Teigen Honours Late Son Jack With Touching New Tattoo
Chrissy Teigen revealed a touching new tattoo she got to honour the infant son she and husband John Legend lost recently.
The former model tweeted a photo on Sunday showing her and Legend holding hands across a table, revealing a tattoo of their son’s name – Jack- written in cursive. Teigen’s new tattoo joins one that reads “John Luna Miles” in honor of her husband and their two other children.
Jack passed away in October after Teigen suffered pregnancy complications. Teigen and Legend both openly shared their grief with a series of personal photos taken at the hospital. Teigen also penned a deeply personal essay about their loss.
“Jack will always be loved, explained to our kids as existing in the wind and trees and the butterflies they see,” Teigen wrote. “Thank you so much to every single person who has had us in their thoughts or gone as far as to send us your love and
Teigen also writes how “moments of kindness” have helped carry her through her loss. She mentions strangers sending her notes and even a checkout cashier quietly placing a bouquet of flowers in her shopping cart.
And just recently her friends all went to donate blood together in honour of Jack. The group donated seven pints to symbolically replace the seven that Chrissy received through a blood transfusion as a result of excessive bleeding due to her placental abruption.
“OK, I tried writing this 4 times but the tears were too much. Here we go again, with my heart full of warmth and happiness.” Teigen wrote about the sweet gesture in honor of Jack.
Despite her tragic loss, Teigen showed up for Halloween choosing to dress up as Natalie Portman’s white swan look from the ballet thriller Black Swan. Legend, meanwhile, dressed as Spider-Man, and Miles donned an adorable green dinosaur costume.
