Ben Affleck Shows Off His Giant Back Tattoo
Ben Affleck has shown off some major new body art on the set of his upcoming film Live By Night.
A gap in the back of his hospital gown revealed a large tattoo of a phoenix taking flight which covered nearly his whole back. Sources have confirmed that the back tattoo is in fact the real deal, with reporters first spotting glimpses of it back in July.
A source has said that Affleck got the tattoo inside his wing of Jennifer Garner’s home in Los Angeles. Affleck still stays in the home, which has been divided into separate areas for the former couple since their split.
The tattoo is an image of a very large phoenix, a folkloric creature associated with rebirth and reinvention. Which is perhaps symbolic of where Affleck is in his life right now.
