Chrissy Teigen Has Been Slammed Over Her Decision To Choose a Baby Girl

Chrissy Teigen has made the controversial admission that she and husband John Legend chose to have a daughter via IVF. The 30 year old stated no other reason other than ‘just wanting to have a girl’ for selecting the gender of their baby.
“I’ve made this decision,” Teigen told People magazine. “Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, ‘Let’s put in the girl.’”

Teigen said that her most motivating factor was wanting to see her husband be a father to a daughter.
“I think I was most excited and allured by the fact that John would be the best father to a little girl. That excited me,” she explains. “It excited me to see … just the thought of seeing him with a little girl. I think he deserves a little girl. I think he deserves that bond. A boy will come along. We’ll get there too, so it’s not like we really have to pick. But he definitely is very lucky to have a little girl. And this girl is going to be so completely lucky to have John as her papa — it’s crazy!”
As was expected, Tiegen’s decision was met by a lot of backlash on social media which accused her of messing with science for her own personal needs. There was no reason for gender selection other than the choice of the parents. Some even accused her of playing God.
The ever feisty Tiegen took matters into her own hands and responded with some tweets of her own:

What year is this!? And for the record, I am always happy and open to speak on infertility. The more casual, the better! I don’t mind.

I also picked the embryo with a taste for bacon, a knack for magic and size 7 feet so she can always find shoes

anyhow I am not mad at anyone’s beliefs but I don’t really actively seek out people to make them feel bad about their decisions either.
