The family of music legend Prince have held a private memorial at his Paisley Park estate a day after his body was secretly cremated.
Prince’s sister Tyka Nelson along with family and friends including his longtime collaborator Sheila E., were seen arriving at the star’s compound Paisley Park in Minneapolis on Saturday.
The star’s publicist Yvette Noel-Schure said in a statement that the 57-year-old music star’s family and friends gathered “in a private, beautiful ceremony” to say a loving goodbye.
The statement said Prince’s “final storage” would be private.
“We ask for your blessings and prayers of comfort for his family and close friends at this time,” the statement said.
For all the fans that are wanting to remember the music icon it’s said a “musical celebration” would be held at a future date.
Twice divorced with no children, under Minnesota law Prince’s estate would go to his only full sibling Tyka Nelson unless he left a will stating otherwise,
Although an autopsy has already been done, authorities said it could be weeks before the cause of Prince’s death is released.
