It’s been reported that Gilmore Girls star Alexis Bledel and her husband, actor Vincent Kartheiser welcomed their first son- last year.

In this day an age of over sharing, how refreshing to find a celebrity couple that didn’t feel the need to announce their pregnancy or arrival of the baby on their social media accounts. Not one single Instagram pic in sight!

The exciting news was accidentally spilled by fellow costar Scott Patterson (he played Luke Danes), during an interview with Glamour magazine.

“It was great to see her. She’s really blossomed as a woman and now she’s a proud new mother and married and happy,” he told the mag, completely revealing Hollywood’s best kept secret.

“I remember her as an 18-year-old kid, fresh out of college coming into Hollywood and being a little overwhelmed. She’s just the most likeable, intelligent person and adorable human being. She hasn’t changed at all. She looks the same.”

Oops!! This reminds me of the time Jack Black accidentally announced Angelina Jolie was pregnant with twins during a promo interview for Kung Fu Panda!

There has been no announcement of the baby’s name as yet. All we know is that it’s roughly 6 months old as it was born during the American autumn 2015.

Other than a few unconfirmed pregnancy rumours in mid-2015, Bledel and Kartheiser’s plans to start a family weren’t public knowledge.

The very private Bledel and Kartheiser were wed in 2014 after having met  while filming a guest role on Mad Men.

The new mum is focused on her return as favourite Rory in Gilmore Girls which is set to air on Netlfix later in the year. The original series, about a mother and daughter living in close-knit small town Star’s Hollow, ran for 157 episodes from 2000-07.
