What would Boots think? Fatima Ptacek, the actress who voices Dora on the popular kid’s show, Dora the Explorer has been accused of pressuring a fellow classmate into vaping with her in the school bathroom. The incident led to the other girl’s expulsion.
The expelled girl, named only as M.S, attended the same exclusive private school in NY along with Fatima Ptacek. The school also had Suri Cruise as a student at one stage.
The teen’s parents, Nadia Leonelli and Fredrik Sundwall, filed a lawsuit in New York on Monday against the school where their daughter allegedly met 15-year-old actor Fatima Ptacek.
The parents are claiming that their daughter and Ptacek were reported to the principal by a senior classmate who said they had been vaping caramel-flavoured water in a school bathroom.
The student M.S said that she went along with Ptacek’s requests to vape with her so she would appear cool. Especially since Ptacek is a celebrity.
“She did it because [Ptacek] is older than M.S. and is a celebrity, being the actress who does the voice of Dora the Explorer on television and having a movie nominated for the Oscars,” the lawsuit says.
Although both girls admitted to vaping in the bathroom, it was only M.S who got expelled from the prestigious school. It seems that the fact Ptacek is a famous actress and celebrity may have led to her having a more lenient punishment than her fellow classmate.
Maybe Dora’s new catchphrase should be Swiper no vaping! Swiper no Vaping!
