Jennifer Lopez will prove she’s still just Jenny from the Block with her upcoming residency at the MGM in Las Vegas next year. The 46 year old singer plans to pay homage to her New York City roots by making the whole spectacular similar to the old school block parties:
“I want it to be a high-energy, Bronx-kind of block party,” she said in a magazine interview recently. “The most exciting shows make you dance, and scream, and jump up and down. I want people to really let loose.”
“I’m just looking to do the best Jennifer Lopez show anyone has ever seen,” she added.
Fans will be able to hear JLo’s hits as well as covers by some of the music industry’s greatest divas.
“I want the show to be always changing, so it’s a unique experience every time — one night a Selena song, and another maybe something by Diana Ross,” she said.
The show which opens on Jan. 22 2016, is titled All I Have.
“It’s always been my approach to performing, to work, to everything I do in life: I give it all I have. That’s why it’s the name of my show,” she explained. “It’s a much more intimate experience, and it’s about real performers — and not everybody can really do that.”
Lopez is looking forward to her residency at Las Vegas and is sure her family members will enjoy coming out to visit her also. “Even if she weren’t [a fan of gambling], she would still come and see me,” Lopez said of her mother.
Personally I hope Lopez brings her gorgeous twins Max and Emme along with her on stage to perhaps sing a song or two!
