Matthew Newton Is Getting Back on Track by Writing, Producing and Directing a New Film

Matthew Newton is slowly getting his life and career back on track in the United States. A film he has self-written and self-directed has managed to get a spot on the prestigious international film festival circuit.
Newton, who has been laying low in New York for several years has spent the time writing, producing and directing a feature film called From Nowhere. The movie had its world premiere at the South by Southwest (SXSW) film festival in Austin, Texas, on Saturday.

The festival is a great achievement for 39-year-old Newton with the film being put alongside headline acts like the US premiere of Jake Gyllenhaal and Naomi Watts’s new drama Demolition.
From Nowhere is the latest in a series of creative projects Newton has been working on in the US, where he is quietly re-establishing himself following some troubled years he’s had in the past with personal relationships and health issues.
