More Heartbreaking News For Celine Dion As Her Brother Dies Of Cancer
Celine Dion has suffered another family tragedy with the passing of her brother Daniel Dion from cancer. Daniel died just days after Celine’s husband Rene lost his battle with throat cancer last week.
It’s been confirmed by the family that Daniel passed away on Saturday at 5am.
Daniel Dion was 59 years old and one of Celine’s 13 brothers and sisters.
Celine’s sister Claudette had recently spoken about their brother and his battle with the disease:
“It looks a lot like René, he had cancer of the throat, tongue and brain,” Claudette said of her brother’s condition. “Our family is very experienced.”
“He is 59 years old, very young to be the end of life,” she added.
Celine has already canceled her upcoming Las Vegas shows on Jan. 16 and Jan. 17 following René’s death.
She is expected to return to her Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Feb. 23.
