Paris Jackson just got her second tattoo in honour of her late dad, pop icon Michael Jackson. The first one was done in April this year and reads “Queen of my heart” in Michael’s handwriting.
Jackson has now recreated her dad’s iconic album cover for Dangerous which was released in 1991. The tattoo depicts her father’s eyes peering through a framework containing a monkey’s head, elephant, ram, and other assorted animals.
The quote Jackson chose to accompany the photograph of her new ink comes from her father’s 1992 book, Dancing the Dream: “The meaning of life is contained in every single expression of life. It is present in the infinity of forms and phenomena that exist in all of creation. Never forget your roots, and always be proud of where you came from.”
Paris Jackson was only 11 years old when her father passed away at the age of 50 in 2009. The teenager feels the loss of her father deeply and will always find ways to remember and honour him. The musical legend’s daughter perhaps said it better herself with a quote she shared on her Instagram account:
“To everyone else, he was the King of Pop. To me, well, he was the king of my heart.”
