Thousands Sign Petition To Stop Kanye West Covering David Bowie Hits

It seem that the rumours about Kanye West recording a tribute album to David Bowie was enough to send Bowie fans into action! Thousands have signed a new petition trying to prevent West from recording the album following the singer’s death earlier this month.
The petition has currently received over 10,000 signatures even though there has been no actual official confirmation from Kanye or anyone associated with him that he’s making such an album.
It was rumoured by the Daily Star that the rapper has been laying down versions of “Rebel Rebel” and “Heroes.”
The petition was started on the 38 Degrees change platform in London.
“David Bowie was one of the single most important musicians of the 20th and 21st century, it would be a sacrilege to let it be ruined by Kanye West,” writes petition author Peter Pirhana.
West recently tweeted his admiration for Bowie with this message:
“David Bowie was one of my most important inspirations, so fearless, so creative, he gave us magic for a lifetime.”
Although the petition may not actually do anything, it certainly sends a clear message to Kanye West- BACK OFF!
