Victoria Beckham Reveals Her Mic Was Often Turned Off While Performing With The Spice Girls

Victoria Beckham was once a part of the most popular girl group in the entire world and yet there were times she did not sing a single song. Although we may have all suspected it, the former singer has confirmed that her microphone was turned off during the Spice Girls live shows.
Victoria Beckham let the secret slip while speaking at the Vogue 100 exhibition. The fashion designer admitted that often it was only the other girls, Emma Bunton, Mel B, Mel C and Geri Halliwell that you could hear singing.
“They used to turn it off and just let the others sing. I got the last laugh – and now my mic is well and truly on, finally,” she said.
Posh also revealed that her outfits cost the most out of anyone else in the group.
“I was always the one that loved fashion and it was quite a result for me because the girls always used to get their clothes for free because they were crap and so there was a lot of budget for me to have my little Gucci dress,” she said.
Beckham also added that she was known as the ‘sensible’ one in the group.
“When all the other girls were being fun and spontaneous and jumping on tables, I was always the one checking the table wasn’t going to collapse. I was always the sensible one.
“Luckily because I used to wear heels, I just used to jig about a bit and I got away with it but it never came easily. I was always much more reserved than the other girls,” she said.
