A 7 Year Old Boy Is Still Missing After His Parents Made Him Leave The Car As Punishment

A 7 year old boy who was made to leave the family car by his parents as punishment is still missing.

Yamato Tanooka, was made to get out of the car as a consequence for throwing rocks while playing at a river earlier in the day.

Since Saturday more than 150 police and rescue workers have been searching for the boy in an area on Mount Komagatake in Nanae, Hokkaido, the northern-most of Japan’s four main islands.

When the parents were first questioned about their son’s disappearance they lied as said he disappeared while they were picking wild vegetables in the area.

The distraught parent have now come forward with the truth and told the police the real reason the boy went missing.

Yamato’s father, Takayuki Tanooka, said: ‘We have done an unforgivable thing to our child and we have caused a lot of trouble for everyone.
I just hope he is safe.’

Yamato’s father told a journalist from Asahi TV that he had been too afraid to tell the truth when he first contacted police to report his son missing.

The parents left the boy in the mountains as a punishment,” a police officer said. “They said they went back to the site immediately but the boy was no longer there.”
