Comedian Amy Schumer has cancelled her Australian tour just five days before she was due to open in Perth due to illness.
The 35 year old American was scheduled to take her stand up show across Australia taking in Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney from December 10 to 15. She was also due to perform in Auckland on December 17.
A press release from Live Nation this morning confirmed the tour would not go ahead due to illness or be rescheduled due to Schumer’s tight schedule.
“Live Nation regret to announce that Amy Schumer’s December tour dates will not go ahead due to illness,” it read. “Unfortunately, due to Amy Schumer’s tight schedule it is not possible to schedule replacement dates however, we will be working to confirm a return to Australia as soon as is practical.”
Fans were told they would be fully refunded within 10 days. Further refund enquiries should be directed to Ticketek, phone 132 849.
