Amy Schumer was set to start her Australian tour this week for her stand up show but had to pull out last minute due to illness. Now the comedian has issued a statement apologising to her fans and promising to return as soon as she can.
“Australia! I am so sorry I am not well enough to be there right now,” the 35-year-old wrote beside a photo with a koala. “I am going to get healthy and come as soon as I can.”
“I love it there so much. The people are the coolest and the meat pies are the hottest. See you ASAP,” she wrote on her Instagram pic.
The tour was set to travel to Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, as well as Auckland in New Zealand.
Schumer’s tour management company Live Nation, said all ticket holders would be reimbursed their money within 10 days but there were no immediate plans for the comedian’s return.
“Unfortunately, due to Amy Schumer’s tight schedule it is not possible to schedule replacement dates however, we will be working to confirm a return to Australia as soon as is practical,” the press release read.
Let’s hope all is well with Amy and she gets herself well soon so she come and rock it in Australia!
