Angelina Jolie has taken on her first job since the break up from ex-husband Brad Pitt last year.
Luxe French beauty brand Guerlain announced on Monday that the 41 year old actress will be the new face of their perfume Mon Guerlain. The brand named Jolie the ‘icon’ for women and says the scent is inspired by the actress herself who intends to donate her entire salary from the campaign to charity.
The press release for the new fragrance states that Thierry Wasser, Guerlain’s Master Perfumer, drew his inspiration from the actress to create a fragrance expressing a woman’s choices, emotions and dreams that also embody modern femininity. The fragrance is inspired by Jolie’s childhood memory of her late mother Marcheline Bertrand who had a love of a certain Guerlain powder that she would always use.
Jolie agreed to the partnership in Cambodia back in 2015 where she was on location directing her film, First They Killed My Father. This will be Jolie’s first beauty ambassador contract in 10 years with her last one being for Shiseido in 2007.
Earlier this month, Jolie and Pitt released their first joint statement in which they said they will put on a united front for their six children after engaging in an intense custody battle. The estranged couple agreed to keep all court documents confidential, and are now engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions.
