Ashton Kutcher Is Fuming Over Trump’s Refugee Ban Saying ‘My Wife Came to This Country As a Refugee’
Ashton Kutcher is not a happy camper. The actor voiced his opinion on President Donald Trump’s controversial immigration ban and it’s not pretty!
The Hollywood star spoke passionately against the ban which left many travelers with legal documentation stranded at airports across America over the weekend.
Kutcher, 38 pointed out that his wife Mila Kunis, would not even be in the country if she was not welcomed as a refugee from the Ukraine all those years ago.
“My wife came to this country on a refugee visa in the middle of the Cold War! My blood is boiling right now!” Kutcher said on Twitter. “We have never been a nation built on fear. Compassion, that is the root ethic of America. Our differences are fundamental 2R sustainability.”
Following Trump’s decision, the American Civil Liberties Union was inundated with donations to help them take legal action against the ban. Over $10 million in donations was raised since Saturday which has allowed them to block a part of the executive order.
Protests have broken out across America with many calling for an immediate stop to the ban. Countless celebrities took to social media to speak out against Trump’s decision to keep certain ethnicities out of America. Many stars noted that it’s the cultural diversity stemming from all the different backgrounds of Americans that make the country great.
Kim Kardashian added her support by tweeting a photo of statistics showing the causes of death for Americans which clearly indicates more people are killed by other Americans than by terrorists.
