Australian supermodel Gemma Ward is pregnant with her second child to partner and fellow model David Letts. The 28 year old is already mum to two year old daughter Naia, also with David. (Their daughter is named after a type of female spirit that watched over bodies of water in Greek Mythology.)
Gemma’s partner shared the happy news with his Instagram followers by posting a photo of an ultrasound, captioning the snap: ‘Still early dayzzz but here comes more trouble boy or girl?’
The very private couple reside in New York and are very rarely spotted out in public together. Gemma started modelling at the age of 15 which saw her go on to become an international sensational thanks to her kewpie-doll looks. She was one of the biggest names in modelling world in the early 2000s, appearing on the cover of Vogue 32 times between 2004 and 2007 and was named the world’s tenth highest earning model by Forbes in 2007.
Right at the peak of her career she walked away from it all retiring from modelling altogether in 2008. It was later revealed that she was sufferring from depression bought on from the sudden death of her then boyfriend actor Heath Ledger.
The blonde beauty made a triumphant comeback in 2014 when she paraded the runway at the SS15 Prada show during Milan Fashion Week. And in 2015, the doting mother-of-one walked for local label Ellery at Australian Fashion Week.
