Aussie Songstress Set To Star In Disney Musical, And She’s Dying To Sing Aladdin Classic

This former Australian Idol beauty is about to add another page to her impressive resume. Come next year, Ricki-Lee Coulter will make her musical debut in th upcoming stage production of Disney Under the Stars.
The 30-year-old will be joining stage stars David Campbell and Lucy Durack in the musical, which will see the cast performing a string of iconic Disney hits from classics like Frozen, Aladdin, and The Lion King.
The singer says: ‘I grew up idolizing these Disney [characters]. Like Aladdin, I loved them so much. It’s how I started singing.’
Ricki then added: ‘All I want is to sing ‘A Whole New World!” She revealed that she cornered the show’s famed musical director Chong Lim on a flight and begged him to let her perform the Aladdin ballad.
Since finding fame on Australian Idol back in 2004 the brunette stunner has racked up a handful of gold and platinum-certified hits. She’s also appeared on reality TV shows like It Takes Two, Dancing With The Stars, and Celebrity Circus.
This year she hosted her own series on Channel 7 called Life Changing Adventures.
The ARIA-nominated star also had a stint as a radio host, and has racked up endorsements with Cover Girl, Cotton On, Woolworths, and Big W.

Ricki-Lee’s love life is also going strong. In August, she tied-the-knot with her handsome manager Richard Harrison.
The Disney Under The Stars stage musical kicks off in Sydney in February, followed by dates in Melbourne and Brisbane. Tickets are currently available for purchase through Live Nation.
