Dwayne Johnson took his beautiful 15 year old daughter to the People’s Choice Awards this week where he picked up an award for Favourite Premium Series Actor for his role on Ballers.
“For the people!” You work hard and hope you get lucky enough to make stuff people really dig and connect with. Because at the end of the day, that’s the most important thing that always drives me… our connection. THANK YOU for voting me top spot in this category TWO YEARS IN A ROW! Grateful. Keep ballin’. #PeoplesChoiceAwards #FavoriteActor #BALLERS
Johnson’s eldest daughter Simone was there to help her famous dad celebrate his win. “Big night. Lots of famous people and stuff. Midnight and all the babies are asleep. Dog too,” he captioned an Instagram pic of his award after the show. “Takin’ a quiet moment of gratitude… THANK YOU. It’s an honour and privilege to work hard for you and entertain you.”
During the evening, the actor jokingly gave the finger to his co-star Kevin Hart when the comedian was making his acceptance speech for Favourite Comedic Movie Actor.
“So, this one goes to all the co-stars that I’ve had except for The Rock, because he hasn’t helped me,” Kevin said, shortly before The Rock gave him the bird. “You’ve actually lessened my talent, it’s gone down since you’ve been in my life.”
As well as being dad to 15 year old Simone, Johnson is a doting father to 13-month-old daughter Jasmine who he shares with longtime girlfriend Lauren Hashian.
“One of the best things that has happened is the fact that I became a dad at 29, very young and at the height of my wrestling career,” he says about fatherhood. “I was always on the road, splitting my time and then becoming a dad later in life too as well.”
He continued, “It’s really been this awesome, interesting, fascinating balance between an amazing, beautiful 15-year-old who teaches me, to her amazing, beautiful [sister], [an 11-month-old] baby. You just hope that you take the lessons that you learned in life and you can apply them properly. I think I’m a good dad.”
We think you are too Dwayne!
