Face mapping draws on the ancient Chinese traditions of facial diagnosis that is able to tell why you are having break outs where you are. It divides the skin into 14 different zones and breaks down what to look out for in each zone and how what you’re currently doing is likely affecting things. Here are some examples:
1. Breakouts between the eyebrows are the result of too much alcohol
The area between the brows is labeled #2 and is connected to the liver. So an excess of wine, rich food and late-night eating could result in break outs there.
2. Smoking may cause inflammation in your cheeks
Cheeks are in zones #5 and #9 and are affected by how you’re treating your lungs, gums and teeth.
3. Forehead acne is caused by insufficient water intake
While occasionally break out on your forehead may be from greasy hair or a reaction to shampoo it usually means you’re not having enough water. It’s an instant sign of dehydration so fill up those water bottles and get drinking!
Below is a complete face mapping guide- take a read and see if you can identify what triggers your break outs.
