James Corden has a very special guest for this edition of carpool karaoke when he picks up First Lady Michelle Obama for a drive around the White House.

While other segments see James cruising the streets of LA, clearly this wasn’t an option with this special passenger. Secret service cars follow them for the whole journey around the grounds of the White House.

Michelle shows us her fabulous sense of humour when James asks her if husband Barack Obama is currently in the Oval Office. To which she replies straight faced- “He better be, cause that’s where he told me he was!”

The two enjoy some Beyonce and Stevie Wonder hits before Missy Elliot makes a guest appearance and jumps in the back seat. The highlight is definitely seeing Michelle ‘get her freak on’ to one of Missy’s most iconic songs.

Michelle Obama is huge advocate and supporter of girls in education and is about to embark on a trip which includes Liberia to highlight the plight of young girls who have no access to an education.

In fact, Michelle has recently joined Snapchat in an attempt to reach her target audience and inform them first hand on the importance of schooling. She believes the world would be a much different place if all young girls had the freedom to learn and be in control of their lives. Being in school is something our kids take for granted and yet for others it seems like an unattainable dream!
