If the thought of getting into an Uber freaks you out a bit, then you need to meet Grandma Uber.
A Brisbane grandmother – who calls herself Grandma Uber- joined the transporting service for one very important reason, she wanted to make sure young girls felt safe and got home okay. In a day and age when women are being targeted more and more- the issue of safety is one that concerns all females, especially when it comes to catching taxis or an Uber.
Kathy Raydings, 57 has been driving with Uber for 5 months now after leaving her previous job after sustaining an injury.
“My purpose here is to make sure the women of Brisbane get home safe”.
If you’ve ever used an Uber then you’re familiar with the complimentary water and mints you may be offered once getting in but Uber Gran takes it one step further. She serves her customers treats such as homemade slice, cakes, chocolates and energy drinks. How fabulous!
Understandably Kathy is in high demand and has even put a call out asking for more grannies to join the Uber service.
Her Facebook page is also getting a lot of love with more than 2000 followers and plenty of happy customers uploading their selfies with the Uber Gran!
