Daughter of late rocker Kurt Cobain has reportedly wed her long-time musician boyfriend without inviting mum Courtney Love.
Francis Bean Cobain, 23, is said to have married Isiah Silvas, 30, in a small and intimate ceremony in front of a handful of friends.
It’s been reported by sources close to the couple, that the newlyweds called Love after the ceremony to let her know they’d tied the knot.
A source told the paper: “Frances is totally loved up with Isaiah, but she’s never been one to broadcast it to the world. She only invited a close circle of friends to the party, and then phoned her mum afterwards to tell her the good news.”
“Courtney is sad she wasn’t there but she totally understands that Frances is her own person and she’s happy to let her do her own thing. Plus, Isaiah is a really nice guy.”
Silvas is the singer in alternative rock band Eeries, best known for their single “Cool Kid”, which charted at number 33 on the Alternative Songs chart.
Although Frances has reportedly had a strained relationship with her mother in the past the pair recently made amends just enough to work together on the successful HBO documentary on Kurt’s life called A Montage of Heck.
Courtney Love was for a time America’s most hated woman after a Vanity Fair article detailed the Hole singer’s drug use while pregnant with Frances, which lead to child services removing the baby from their care for a short time.
Love veheremently denied the claim until finally coming clean in an interview with Montage of Heck director: “I used it once then stopped. I knew she would be fine”.
