James Stewart Says Financially Raising His Daughter Motivated his Return To Acting

Aussie actor James Stewart took 18 months off from acting to be with his daughter Scout and says his return was heavily influenced by the toddler.
Scout is the three year old daughter he shares with ex-fiance Jessica Marais and says his decision to join the cast of Home and Away definitely had a lot to do with the financial responsibilities he has of raising her.
Speaking to TV Week magazine the 40 year old actor spoke about his return to acting.
‘It’s that time in your life, where art and money become an issue,’ James said. I got to the end of the end of three years of raising my daughter and just thought, “Oh, I need to work. I’ve got to get her through school’.
James went on to say how Scout has changed him for the better: ‘She’s made me learn… patience and kindness’.
One of TV’s hottest couples, both on screen and off met on family drama Packed To The Rafters in 2009 and got engaged in October that year. They announced they were expecting their first child in November 2011, with Scout born in May 2012. Their separation was announced in May 2015.
James will make his much anticipated debut on Home And Away next week as Justin Morgan, along with his on-screen brothers Mason (Orpheus Pledger) and Brody (Jackson Heywood) and sister Tori (Penny McNamee).
