Kelly Clarkson premiered her new music video for her single “Piece by Piece” on Thursday which features her super cute 17-month-old daughter, River.
The single is about the emotional damage she suffered from the relationship with her father and how her husband, Brandon Blackstock, showed her how a loving husband should be.
“All I remember is your back,” the singer 33, sings in the touching black-and-white clip. “Walking toward the airport, leaving us all in your past.”
The video shows a series of young girls looking sad. As the video progresses, the women and girls begin to smile, as Clarkson’s lyrics reflect on her loving husband of two years.
“But piece by piece, he collected me up off the ground, where you abandoned things. Piece by piece, he filled the holes. He never runs away, he takes care of me, he loves me,” she sings.
At the end of the clip, Clarkson hugs her own little girl.
“I will never leave her, like you left me,” she adds.
The American Idol singer, who is pregnant with her second child, has admitted she’s been having a rough time with her pregnancy this time around.
“I’m familiar with all-day sickness,” the singer admitted to Gayle King on CBS This Morning on Wednesday, “I have to get IVs and fluids because I get so dehydrated. It’s really bad.”
