Kendall Jenner Reveals Why She Deleted Her Instagram Account

Could this be a new direction for the Jenner and Kardashian sisters? A withdrawal from social media?
Kendall Jenner deleted her Instagram account a few days ago and sent the media into a mild state of panic. What was wrong? Had something happened to her? Was she making some kind of political statement about the US elections?
Nope, none of the above. It seems the 21 year old model just need a little detox. Jenner spoke to Ellen DeGeneres confirming that she had in fact quit Instagram for a little while because she felt she had become too dependent on it.
“I don’t know, I just wanted to detox,” Jenner explains. “I just felt like I wanted a little bit of a break. I’m always on it. I would wake up in the morning and look at it first thing, I’d go to bed and it’s the last thing I would look at. I felt a little too dependent on it, so I wanted to take a minute to detox.”
But never fear! It’s not going to be a permanent thing. “I’ll be back, I’ll come back!” she says. “Withdrawals are starting to come in.”
The Jenner sister has enjoyed her time away from Instagram and has recommended everyone try it and see for themselves.
“It’s kind of a nice, refreshing feeling,” she says. “I’m away from my phone so much more. You start to engage in, like, real life, and you have to deal with real people right in front of you, so it’s kind of really nice to be away from it, even if it’s just Instagram.”
