Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Launch Children’s Clothing Line!
It was only a matter of time before the Wests launched their own clothing range for kids. Kim Kardashian West has been teasing the new label, called Kids Supply, for months now by posting sneak peeks and teasers on her snapchat. In February she shared a clip of daughter North modeling some of the bright yellow-pieces which included a sequined dress and matching shearling coat.
“Northie picked out the colors and the fabric,” Kardashian West could be heard saying in the video.
The much anticipated collection dropped over the weekend and features a selection of kid’s clothes for both boys and girls.
Kanye West has certainly put his aesthetic to the pieces with many looking very similar to his own Yeezy line. Kids Supply features a collection of slip dresses in pink and black, embroidered tees, hoodies, a bomber jacket, hats with a kids logo hand drawn by Kanye scrawled on the front, and chokers just like little North wears.
The pieces were inspired by the West’s hometown of Calabasas with many items bearing the name on the back or front. There are more than 10 pieces in all and the line ranges from $22 to $240 and is currently only available to buy online.
Kardashian West, 36, tweeted about her and her husband’s inspiration behind the venture, writing, “For the past few years Kanye and I have made almost all of our kids clothes and we have collaborated on a new kids line!”
“TheKidsSupply has been what we’ve been working on for a long time. I’m so excited about this!” she continued.
While The Kids Supply collection is bound to sell out fast not everyone is happy with the price point. Many followers of the Kardashian Wests said the cost of many pieces put the clothes out of range for the average person. One Instagram follower said:
I’m sorry but I have to call Kim and Kanye out here. I have a lot of respect for both of you and think that all of the clothes you make are really cool. However, you both are being very hypocritical. You both always seem to preach that you want to change the world and make clothing and shoes accessible to anyone that wants it yet when you debut your CHILDRENS clothing line you set the price of a long sleeve shirt at $45. That’s pretty expensive for ADULT clothing. Come on guys, practice what you preach. If you want to make a positive difference on the world. Do good things and actually make your things affordable to anyone that wants it. Don’t be selfish!
What do you think of the collection? Would you buy any pieces for your children?
