Kim Kardashian has landed herself another cover as she graces the front of Forbes magazine. The reality TV star ranks amongst the top 50 highest earning celebrities of the year.
Shortly after news broke that Kim would made the cover, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star took a dig at her haters who claim she has no talent.
“Such a tremendous honor to be on the cover of @forbes!” she wrote on Instagram after coming in at number 42 on the list. “I never dreamed this would happen and know my Dad would be so proud. #NotBadForAGirlWithNoTalent.”
Not bad at all Kim! It’s estimated Mrs.West took home home an amazing $45 million from her mobile app “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood” since its 2014 launch. Proof that her cleverly put-together business empire expands far beyond her reality TV show.
Her game allows you to create an avatar and navigate the climb to fame in tinsel town, befriending Kim and working for the funds to buy new things.
Kim jumped on the app bandwagon at just the right time after realising this was the direction technology was heading in.
“I became really intrigued with the tech world,” she said. “I started spending a lot of time in San Francisco. I realised this is really going to be the next cycle of my career and this is what I want to focus on.”
Forbes used Kim as an example to talk about all the other celebrities out there capitalising on fame and increasing following through mobile apps: Ellen DeGeneres with her ‘Heads Up!’ trivia app, Tom Hanks with his typewriter-simulator app as well as Katy Perry’s Pop app which appears to be the same as Kim’s.
Heading the Forbes list was Taylor Swift who made an astounding $170 million income on the back of her “1989 World Tour” last year.
