Kim Kardashian West Begged Paris robbers ‘Let me live!’
Kim Kardashian West is a reality TV star, an influencer an entrepreneur and a mother of two. Last year while in Paris, she was robbed by masked intruders and was left staring down the barrel of a gun trying to figure out how she would make it out alive and wondering if she would ever see her kids North and Saint ever again.
In a preview clip for the new season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians the star describes how she had a “split second” to decide whether to try to escape and risk getting shot in the back. Kim Kardashian West reveals she literally begged with her Paris robbers to spare her life.
While we can all point the finger at Kardashian and say she bought it all onto herself by flaunting her wealth and luxe lifestyle- isn’t that just a form of victim blaming? Isn’t that the same as saying a woman who is raped because she was dressed provocatively is to blame for her attack? It is utterly ludicrous and does not justify a woman having to beg for her life – Kardashian or otherwise.
The robbers who attacked the mum of two were wearing ski masks and dressed as police. They broke into the building, near the historic Madeleine Church in the 8th arrondissement, at around 3am on 3 October. They held a gun to West’s head before tying her up and locking her in the bathroom.
In a preview of the new series of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the 36-year-old describes the moment she was attacked, saying through tears that she pleaded “let me live” to the gang.

“They had the gun up to me and I knew they were just going to shoot me in the head,” she said. “Then he duct-tapes my face. Please I have a family. Let me live.”
Kardashian was robbed of around $7 million worth of jewellery which included her engagement ring from husband Kaye West.
West said the robbers demanded money but she told them: “I don’t have any money. They dragged me out on to the hallway on top of the stairs,” she went on. “That’s when I saw the gun, like clear as day. I was kind of looking at the gun, looking down back at the stairs.”
The preview clip has Kardashian West telling her sisters Khloe and Kourtney that she had a “split second” to decide whether to try to escape.
“Am I going to run down the stairs and either be shot in the back? It makes me so upset to think about it,” she said. “Either they’re going to shoot me in the back, or if I make it and they don’t, if the elevator does not open in time, or the stairs are locked, then like I’m f*****. There’s no way out.”
West retreated from the public eye following the attack and was MIA from social media for close to three months. The incident took a toll on the star and saw her increasing her home security as well as beefing up her entourage.
The TV star says that while the attack changed her in some ways ‘she will not stop living her life because of it.’ There is no way she will allow the attackers to win or for her to become a victim.
