With one simple Instagram post, Rebecca Judd caused an online frenzy for Kmart’s cheap and cheerful crockery.
The 33 year old WAG is definitely a fashion influencer and now she can add kitchen ware to that title as well. On Tuesday she revealed she used $2 kitchen bowls from Kmart and now customers are struggling to find them as they sell out store wide.
The image Rebacca shared was one of her daughter Billie eating food out of one of the matte pink bowls. The image was captioned with ‘Those $2 Kmart bowls which are all over their ad are seriously (emoji of ok image). I may have bought them in every size and colour #notsponsored #justawesome,’ she wrote to her half a million followers.
Fans of Rebecca joked saying perhaps this may be the only time they can afford something she recommends. While others praised her for being so grounded. ‘You’re so real @becjudd !! Woo for kmart!’ said one fan of the presenter.
‘Bec Judd likes Kmart too,’ one fan said, while another added: ‘Bec Judd even rates the K-Mart bowls.’
Shoppers have expressed their disappointment of going into Kmart only to find they were still sold out. ‘I went back to Kmart on Saturday to get the rest of the set and still none left,’ one customer said.
It’s not just Rebecca who’s noticed the amazing change Kmart has had over the last few years. Their homewares in particular have taken a turn for the better with a vast range of modern and affordable pieces. In just five years, Kmart CEO Guy Russo has managed to turn the store’s profits around and re-establish it as one of Australia’s most successful budget retailers.
Kmart is now a cool place to shop with their low price points and trendy items. So cool in fact that I dare you to walk into a Kmart store and not walk out with a few new pieces for your kitchen or bathroom! Except for those pink bowls- you’ll have Buckley’s chance of nabbing any of those!
