Kristen Bell’s “Hands on the Circle” Parenting Hack Is Genius!
Getting children in and out of the car safely always stressed me out when my children were small. It wasn’t always possible to watch their every movement while juggling a baby, a toddler and my own sanity, and I needed to make sure they stayed where they were told at all times.
Kristen Bell obviously understands this and has come up with a parenting hack of her own that works for her. She has shared it with her followers on social media in the hope that it might help others, too.
The actress and mother of two daughters, 2-year-old Delta and 4-year-old Lincoln, calls out “Hands on the circle” and her children quickly follow suit, as pictured below.
“‘Hands on the circle’ (the circle is the gas cap) was invented by my brilliant sister in law, and has thus far kept all kiddos safe from any oncoming traffic while I unload the trunk,” Bell wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday, which shows her daughters’ hands on the hinged petrol door.
Is this simple trick something you could try with your children too?
Of course, it might be wise to double check whether your petrol cap is on the driver’s side or the passenger’s side before calling out “Hands on the circle”! Maybe don’t get your kids to stand in the road while attempting to keep them safe!
