Say what you want about reality TV star Kylie Jenner but chances are she’ll be too busy laughing all the way to the bank to take much notice!
You see the youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan is one clever businesswoman. The 20 year old has managed to turn her love of make up into a multi-million dollar brand which has seen her land a spot in Forbes magazine.
Jenner is set to surpass Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to become the youngest self-made billionaire in history. Just to put that into perspective Zuckerberg estimated to be worth more than $70 billion, went from millionaire to billionaire at age 23. Kylie Jenner on the other hand is currently worth $900 million and she’s only 20-years-old.
To commemorate the exciting achievement, Jenner graces the new cover of Forbes magazine.
“Wow,” wrote Jenner on Instagram. “I can’t believe I’m posting my very own Forbes cover. Thank you for this article and the recognition. I’m so blessed to do what I love every day. I couldn’t have dreamt this up!”
Kylie Cosmetics, which was founded by Jenner three years ago, has made more than $630 million in sales. The company which is worth $900 million has even surpassed sister Kim Kardashian’s fortune with an estimated net worth of $350 million.
“I struggled for a minute with finding something to do on my own,” Jenner told Forbes.
“Ever since I was in sixth grade, I would wear purple eyeshadow,” said Jenner. “I turned to makeup to help me feel more confident.”
She goes on to credit social media as a major marketing tool that has helped her grow her business.
“Social media is an amazing platform,” Jenner said. “I have such easy access to my fans and my customers.”
Jenenr also tells the magazine that she plans on one day passing the torch onto baby daughter Stormi.
“Maybe one day I’ll pass this on to Stormi, if she’s into it,” Jenner said.
