Kylie Jenner Shares The Heartbreaking Reason Behind Her Lip Obsession

Kylie Jenner has spoken honestly on why she has such an obsession with her lips and reveals the reason behind her insecurity.

The 19 year old reality TV star proves that no-one can escape the self doubt and body hang ups that face all teenagers. Just like every other woman on the planet, Kylie too feels a part of her body could be improved- and for her it was her lips.

The creator of the Kylie Lip Kits, initially denied getting lip injections two years ago when people started talking about her fuller lips. At the time she said it was all due to the way she applied her lip liner. Kylie then came out and admitted that she did in fact start getting fillers when she was just 16 years old.

The reason for the fillers is a heartbreaking one. All through her early teens, Kylie felt weighed down by her lip insecurities, believing they were too thin for her face.

She recently told Complex magazine the reason why she started getting fillers: “It has been an insecurity of mine all my life,” she said before revealing the incident with a boy that scarred her and made her decide to alter her lips.

“This guy I kissed was all like, ‘Your lips are really small but you’re a really good kisser. I didn’t think you were gonna be good at kissing’,” she said.

“It was so rude. From then on, I just felt like I saw guys staring at my lips. I felt like no one wanted to kiss me.”

The reason Kylie originally denied getting her lips done was because she didn’t want to look like she was setting a bad example to the younger girls who looked up to her.

“What if I came out and said, ‘Oh, yeah, I got my lips done’? What are all those mums going to think about me? These kids, my fans, they’re going to think I’m crazy. I didn’t want to be a bad influence.

“I didn’t want people to think you had to get your lips done to feel good about yourself.”

Looking back, Kylie wished she had been upfront from the very start!  “They thought it was crazier that I was lying about it because it was so obvious. I wish I had just been honest and upfront.”

“It’s annoying to hear every day that you’re just this fake, plastic person when you’re not. Every single day there was a news story about me.”

Kylie spoke about the early days where she got carried away with the injections and ended up with big painful lips. “When you first get them done, you’re like, ‘Oh, it could be a little bit bigger on that side.’ I’d go back and be like, ‘They went down’ and think they could be bigger. But I went too far. It was very painful.”

The Jenner sister still gets fillers but is much more conservative with how full she goes these days. And while she admits to having her lips done she says she’s never undergone any permanent plastic surgery. “It’s annoying to hear every day that you’re just this fake, plastic person when you’re not. Every single day there was a news story about me.”
