Madeleine West Says After Having Six Kids Her Figure Is All Smoke And Mirrors

Madeleine West looks amazing for a woman who’s had six children in just eight years. The 35 year old actress always looks glamorous and beautifully groomed yet she says it’s all ‘smoke and mirrors.’
The former Neighbour’s star spoke to Women’s Weekly where she indulged some of her secrets to looking good. ‘Without my Spanx, I have no waist and without my push-up, I am less cup overfloweth, more empty windsock,’ Madeleine said.
Yes! Whoever invented Spanx needs a Nobel prize or something. There is no-one who doesn’t benefit from the ‘sucking in’ action spanx gives you. I don’t care if you’re a size 8 or 28- spanx are the bomb! So too is the lifting action a great bra gives you- let me be the first to say that your breasts after having kids are never, ever, ever, ever the same again. Insert sad face emoji.
Madeleine and her chef husband Shannon Bennett have been married for 16 years and have 6 kids together- Phoenix, 10, Hendrix, eight, Xascha, five, Xanthe, 3 and twins Margaux and Xhalia, both 18 months. There’s no chance of any more, Madeleine says. After giving birth to the twins 18 months the shop is definitely shut! ‘There will definitely, 100 per cent be no more,’ she said.

Madeleine says her big brood was a surprise because no version of the pill works on her – and she has tried them all! She also spoke about how giving birth to six children has helped her appreciate her body in a new way. Madeleine says when she was a younger actress put too much emphasis on her appearance, saying she suffered from ‘head-up-my-own-arse-itis’.
The actress spoke about how she believed her career was over when she fractured her skull after being hit by a bus on Sydney’s Oxford Street in 2003. Madeleine ‘didn’t recognise her own face’ after suffering a brain hemorrhage and amnesia.
‘When the doctors let me see myself in the mirror for the first time, my immediate thought was, ‘My acting career is over’ and I was ready to chuck it,’ she said. ‘Apart from breaking a bunch of teeth and blowing out all the blood vessels in my eyes, I had a massive scab and big scar,’ she said.
The former Underbelly star will be returning to our screens very soon in a new series called The Wrong Girl, which is based on a book of the same name by Zoe Foster Blake.
