Meet 87 Year Old Baddie Winkle Who Shows Us You Can Be A Rebel At Any Age!
Helen Van Winkle is 87 years old and she’s an internet sensation!
On some days, she likes to wear floral dresses and on others, she’ll wear leggings with a leopard shirt and gangster gold chains! It’s this second persona — as “Baddie Winkle” — that has earned this octogenarian over 1.1 million Instagram followers.
Her fans include celebrities like Nicole Richie and Miley Cyrus (who invited Winkle to join her at the MTV Video Music Awards), and a huge array of supporters who can’t get enough of the woman who looks like your grandmother wearing the same outfits you would find on someone 60 years younger!
Winkle says the idea that you should dress for your age is completely insane: “I don’t feel old. I have never felt old. I think you can dress any way you want to.”
Winkle lives in Tennessee with her granddaughter and her 19-year-old great-granddaughter, Kennedy, who was the one responsible for Winkle’s success. “Kennedy is responsible for all of this. Kennedy and I have a lot of fun together. We’re very close.”
