British Actor Theo James Is Confirmed As The New Bond

Since Daniel Craig’s departure from the role of James Bond, rumours have run rampant as to who will fill his spot.

Among the many names that were being thrown around were Idris Elba, Tom Hardy and Tom Hiddleston. The role of James Bond is iconic and any actor would consider themselves lucky to even be considered for the part.
The man who did win the much coveted gig is 31 year old British actor Theo James. Better known for having played the male lead, Tobias “Four” Eaton, in the film adaptation of Veronica Roth’s best-selling book, Divergent, James also reprised the character in the sequel to Divergent, The Divergent Series: Insurgent.
The first film starring the actor will be released in Febuary 2017 with three consecutive Bond movies written into his contract.
James held a private press conference on Sunday where he spoke about how “surprised, but honoured to take on this opportunity” he is.
“When my agent called and first told me that I was being considered for the Bond~role, I almost fell off my chair. But it is one of those roles that I have dreamt of playing ever since I was a little kid and I had to go for the audition. It seems it paid off and it feels like I am dreaming. This will be a blast,” he said.
