Nicole Kidman Reveals Why She Won’t Let Daughter Sunday Attend The Grammy Awards With Dad Keith Urban!
Nicole Kidman may be a successful Hollywood actress but she will always be a mum first!
Kidman appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week where she discussed not being able to join husband Keith Urban at the Grammy’s on Sunday.
The 49-year-old actress will be attending the BAFTAs on the same night, where she’s nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her work in Lion.
Although she is unable to accompany her husband, Kidman joked that their eldest daughter Sunday, would love to attend in her place!
“‘I’ll go with dad to the GRAMMYs!'” Kidman said of her daughter after finding out she couldn’t attend.
As cute as this may sound, the Aussie mum shut down that idea as quickly as it was bought up. The reason? Profanities.
“She’s eight and they use inappropriate language Ellen!” she explained to Degeneres.
The couple who are also parents to six year old Faith are said to be just as shocked as anyone that two big nights have ben scheduled on the same date.
“We couldn’t believe it. It’s an amazing thing to be honoured in both our fields in the same night at the same time,” Kidman said. “I would so love to be there grooving to his tunes, you know?”
“Rarely does that happen where two evenings like that, that are both important to us, in the same night,” Urban added, who’s nominated for two GRAMMYs this year. “But we feel really grateful that we get to be honored in our fields, and we recognize that.”
We wish them both the best of luck at their awards night and we’re sure both daughters will be just as happy watching mum and dad on TV at home!
