Sources have confirmed that Oscar winning actress Anne Hathaway and her husband Adam Schulman are expecting their first child. The couple wed in 2012 in a low key ceremony.
“Anne is in her second trimester and feeling great!” one of the sources has said.
As with all celebrities in the limelight, speculation on pregnancy begins the moment an actress is sporting a fuller than normal belly. For Hathaway the rumours began at the London premiere of her forthcoming film The Intern in September.
Hathaway in the past has spoken for her love of children and her desires to become a mum one day herself.
“I’m the only one here who’s not a mother. I hope to join the ranks soon,” she said back in 2012 while seated at a roundtable with a number of actresses, all of them mothers.
“I’m thinking about that [the paparazzi] because I really want to have a baby, and my husband and I are like, ‘Where are we gonna live?'”
To Vogue that same year she said: “Oh, my God. I want to be a mother, and I anticipate loving my children quite fiercely. I think about it all the time, though it’s a silly thing to think about because the kind of mother I’ll be depends on the kind of children I have. I can’t wait to meet them.”
Such an exciting time for the couple- we wish them all the best for this new chapter in their lives!
