Pink’s Latest Instagram Photo Shows Just How Exhausted the Mum Of Two Is!
Remember your life before kids when you thought you were SO busy? You’d get home from work, plonk on the couch and just stare into space until you fell asleep from exhaustion!
Or how about those weekends when you would take a Sunday siesta to recharge the batteries after a big Saturday night out? Ahh, the good old days, when we were completely oblivious to the mega avalanche just around the corner- parenthood!
Being tired and being a parent go hand in hand. Don’t believe anyone who tells you otherwise. They are aliens and should be approached with caution.
Having young kids means you will constantly be sleep deprived and will now consider a bowl of cereal a perfectly respectable option for dinner.
Case in point is singer Pink. The entertainer recently shared a sweet pic of herself and 2 month old son Jameson on Instagram. Upon first glance you may say…awww, how sweet is that image of a mum and bub resting together!
But don’t be fooled! Read the caption! Here is a mum, who just like us, is bloody exhausted!!
“Oh my god I’m so tired my soul has a headache but I’m so okay with it so whatever I’m just gonna take this little catnap real quick wake me up in ten seconds,” the 37 year old mum of two wrote.
A quick catnap is exactly what we all used to do as mums of newborns. While they breast fed we’d get a quick few minutes of shut eye. If they happened to fall asleep in the car we would pull over, lock the doors and try and get a quick snooze in. It’s called survival and it’s very real!
The Instagram picture struck a chord with Pink’s fans who responded with comments like,
“Haven’t slept in 13 years, hang in there!!”
“Right there with ya, mama!… I miss sleep but I love this little human so much!” one wrote.
“Thanks for keeping it real, new mums sometimes struggle and think it’s only them that feel that way. We are all in the same boat,” said another.
We love you Pink but just know everything you’ve heard is absolutely true! You will never sleep soundly again. Ever!
