Princess Eugenie Postpones Her Wedding Because Of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
Spare a thought for Princess Eugenie and fiance Jack Brooksbank today who have had to push back their wedding date after just announcing their engagement.
Princess Eugenie, who’s Prince Harry and Will’s first cousin (and eighth in line for the throne), was planning to marry in September in the same venue Harry and Meghan are set to wed in May. However it seems they’ve been asked to change their wedding date to accomodate the royal newlyweds’ travel plans.
“Eugenie and Jack are keen to tie the knot quite quickly, and there certainly wouldn’t be any issue as regards the booking of the chapel given who her grandmother is,” a source told The Daily Mail. “But the issue is that some members of the Royal Family already have commitments in the diary.”
The “members of the Royal Family” in question are in fact the future Mr. and Mrs. Prince Harry. “There is talk of a number of foreign tours for Prince Harry and Miss Markle this year, and September is a date that has been mooted,” the source said.
Even Brooksbank’s grandmother confirmed the change of plans. “I do know that they’re now not going to get married in September,” she said. “Jack said ‘We can’t get married in September now so we will have to get married in October. The Royal family have got something else going on then I think so they couldn’t. So he just said that if they can’t get married in September they will have to get married in October.”
While we all stress out to a certain degree to make sure our wedding date suits everyone sources say Princess Eugenie is a hundred percent okay with the decision.
“They are fine with it,” a source tells The Daily Mail. “I don’t think anything will overshadow how deliriously happy they are.”
