Real Housewives Of Orange County Star Meghan King Edmonds Is Pregnant!
Meghan King Edmonds has announced she is expecting her first child with husband Jim Edmonds in a sweet Instagram post.
The 31 year old Real Housewives of Orange County star shared the happy news with a photo on Instagram revealing her cute little baby bump as well as the gender of her baby- it’s a girl!
“We’re expecting a perfect little bundle of sugar and spice and everything nice!” Meghan captioned the adorable photo. “Jimmy and I are over the moon! We are thrilled to bring our daughter into our perfectly imperfect blended family in time for the holidays!”
Meghan and her ex pro baseball player husband have been trying to fall pregnant with IVF and have opened up about their struggle.
“IVF has been a journey. We are so grateful and happy to share our news,” Meghan says.
“You know, IVF is really, really difficult emotionally, physically, and I like to think of IVF as not having an end, but really just having a next step,” she shared. “After going through this fertility journey, I have realized that there are so many other women out there who are going through fertility issues on their own, and so it’s been great to kind of talk about it and have that dialogue, because it’s not an easy journey.”
Meghan’s husband Jim already has four children from two previous marriages so the reality star is used to being a step mum to his brood.
The couple have a very unconventional living arrangement as Meghan spends half her time in St. Louis, Missouri, where Jim, 45, works as a member of their St. Louis Cardinals broadcasting crew, and half the year in Newport Beach, California, where she films The Real Housewives of Orange County.
Despite the time spent apart, Meghan says their long-distance relationship is strong.
“We’re a lot of Facetime, a lot of selfies,” she admitted. “It’s difficult and we just try to do what we can do … leaving each other notes, telling each other about our day. We have a shared calendar, and I know it sounds stupid, but it’s just nice to see who he’s having lunch with on a day to day basis, so we do what we can.”
