Real Housewives Star Kandi Burruss Shares First Photos Of Her Newborn Baby Girl!
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss shared the first photo of her baby girl on Instagram with husband Todd Tucker. She captioned the beautiful pic with “Our little angel is doing well! She was born yesterday 11-22-19 at 6:54pm. 8lbs & 1oz! Her name is Blaze Tucker. Thank you to everyone for the love & well wishes! She’s gonna Blaze a path to greatness! @blazetucker is our newest heartbeat.”
Blaze Tucker, who was born via surrogate, is the second child Kandi and Todd have together. They are also parents to 3-year-old son Ace. Kandi has 17 year old daughter Riley from a previous relationship and Todd is the father of 23 year old Kaela.
While the couple wanted another child, Kandi said her hesitation to carry the child herself was due to the high-risk pregnancy she had with Ace and her history with fibroids.
Her pregnancy/surrogacy journey was all filmed for The Real Housewives of Atlanta with the mum of three revealing her surrogate was initially pregnant with twins but one of the embryos didn’t make it.

I’m still in awe of my baby girl @blazetucker! I just wanna say thank you sooooo much to @therealdrjackie & @shadinablunt for helping us bring our beautiful baby girl in the world. There are no words that can express our gratitude! @shadinablunt is normally a super private person so helping us in this journey has been different for her. Please send love & light to her & @therealdrjackie! They mean a lot to our family. ❤️❤️ & Make sure to watch #RHOA tonight & see a part of the journey on tonight’s episode.
“We actually was supposed to be having twins, and then one of them didn’t continue,” she said. “I was sad at first, but then I just had to be grateful that the one made it.”
Kandi also spoke to Busy Philipps about her decision to use a surrogate earlier this year on her talk-show. “I had to go through the IVF process to get my son, and I have been having some issues or whatever,” she said. “And this is something we were discussing, so I felt like, you know what, why hold back? I might as well talk about it. I think it’s important to share.”
Bravo star Andy Cohen had a touching message for Kandi too after he himself used a surrogate for his son Benjamin last year.
“I had made a comment. I said something like, ‘I guess I’m gonna have a baby mama,’ and he said to me, ‘Don’t you ever say that because you are the mother. And to say she’s your baby’s mom is taking away from you,'” Kandi said. “It made me feel better.”
Congratulations you guys! We can’t wait to see more photos of Blaze and watch your surrogacy journey on RHOA!
