Real Housewives Star Kenya Moore Says Co-Sleeping With Baby Put Strain On Her Marriage!
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore has opened up about her marriage struggles after having daughter Brooklyn a year ago with husband Marc Daly.
The now estranged couple were dealing with a number of issues in their marriage which Kenya shared during an episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta recently.
Reality TV star and former Miss USA, 48 year old Kenya confided in friend and co-star Porsha Williams about her marital problems, admitting that co-sleeping with their infant daughter Brooklyn Doris, now 1, had put a strain on their sex life.
“The baby has changed so much in our lives,” Kenya said. “She’s in the bed all the time. He does not want me to put her in a crib.”
“It’s been difficult,” she continued. “We sleep together when we can, but it definitely is not as often as I would like.”
Asked how long it has been, Kenya told Porsha, “Girl, I’m not going to even say that number.”
“It’s hard being in relationships, especially when you have a little one involved,” Kenya said. “Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad, sometimes you feel like you want to give up.”
The advice Porsha gave Kenya was that she and Daly had “got to connect sexually.”
“I agree, we got to do better than that,” Kenya said. “I just don’t like where we are right now.”
Not to blame their issues on the baby entirely, Kenya said that the cracks in their marriage started to appear even before Brooklyn was born.
“Maybe when I was about 6 months, 7 months, he just started getting really freaked out about my belly growing,” Kenya explained to fellow Atlanta Housewife Kandi Burruss. “He thought it was kind of awkward.”
Things didn’t change after Brooklyn’s arrival either with Kenya saying that her sex life was “not picking back up.”
The fact that the couple live in two different cities, Kenya filming RHOA in Atlanta and Marc working out of New York City, where he owns several restaurants didn’t help the situation either.

In fact on their two year wedding anniversary the couple were supposed to fly to Turks and Caicos together but Marc wouldn’t let Kenya bring a nanny along — meaning there would be no room for any date nights. The topic caused a fight between them which saw Marc bailing out of the trip and leaving Kenya to go along with their daughter Brooklyn.
“That was heartbreaking to me,” Kenya recalled. “He is in love with Brooklyn, there’s no doubt about that. As much as I want that, being a mom and seeing my husband bond with the baby, I’m left on the side line a lot of the time. When are we going to be intimate? When are we going to have time for ourselves? … It’s frustrating.”
We hope Kenya finds the happiness she deserves and manages to co-parent effectively with Marc at least for daughter Brooklyn’s case.
