The Real Reason Lauren Conrad Wore So Many Headbands on The Hills!

The Hills, which recently celebrated it’s 10 year anniversary, introduced us to the quintessential California girl Lauren Conrad. The show gave us a glimpse into her new life in L.A with her all her roommates, friends, boyfriends, jobs and headbands. Yes, headbands!

Lauren’s choice of crown was the headband and she wore it VERY often during the first series of Hills. And while the reality star loved her accessories she had no idea there was a movement going on behind the scenes to get her to ditch the band!

“I wore way too many headbands; just way too many scarves and really thick bands,” she said. “I recently found out that behind the scenes, The Hills’ producers were trying to figure out how to get me to stop wearing headbands.”

So why was Lauren so obsessed with wearing head bands? What did she have to hide?

“I was just always too late on getting my roots done, so I wore headbands to cover my roots up.”

Aha! I knew there had to be a reason why Lauren wore over 30 different headbands on the show! Here are a few of my favourites you may remember…

The black and white one
The black leather one
The polka dot one
Blue and white
The thick, black embellished one
The orange one
The yellow one
And the flower one!
