Ricky Martin Announces His Engagement To Boyfriend Jwan Yosef!
Ricky Martin has announced his engagement on the Ellen Degeneres show to his artist boyfriend Jwan Yosef.
The genetically blessed 44 year old singer met the equally easy-on-the-eye artist more than a year ago. The two have been inseparable ever since!
Ricky spoke to Ellen about his love for Jwan and how he ended up proposing to his lover.
“He’s a conceptual artist and I’m a collector. I started looking for art, and I saw his art and I went crazy because I really love what he does, really original,” Ricky explained.
“Then you collected him,” Ellen laughed.
The pair have been together officially since January and have been inseparable ever since.
“I proposed. I was really nervous,” Ricky said. “I got on my knees, and I took out the little velvet pouch and instead of saying, ‘Would you marry me?’ I said, ‘I got you something!’ Bad.”
Ricky carried on despite the nerves!
“I said, ‘I want to spend my life with you,’ and he said, ‘What is the question?’” he recalled laughing. “It was very beautiful and then 30 minutes after, I said, ‘Wait, did you say yes?’”
Ricky is dad to 8-year-old twin boys Mateo and Valentino and loves the fact Jwan gets along so well with them.
“They love each other. It’s been perfect. It’s been really special,” he told Ellen.
The latin singer also announced his Vegas residency coming up next year: “I’m going to be in Vegas,” he told Ellen’s audience of his new gig at the Park Theater at Monte Carlo. “I have a residency in Vegas.”
