Robert Irwin Makes His Debut On The Tonight Show And Proves He’s Just Like His Dad Steve!
Robert Irwin recently made his debut on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and proved to the world just how eerily similar he is to his late dad Steve Irwin!
In the ten years since Steve passed away no-one has yet come close to displaying the same infectious enthusiasm for animal conservation that he did.
That is until 13 year old Robert expertly showed off his skills to Fallon and displayed the same charm and quick wit that his dad possessed.
The teenager, who looks just like his dad, showed off a range of exotic animals to the Tonight Show host and definitely knew what he was talking about!
Robert was in LA to promote a charity dinner honouring his father when he was asked dot appear on the Tonight Show just like his dad did so many years ago. Robert gushed about his love for all animals and said that dealing with them is “in his blood.”
The teenager went on to say that it’s all he’s ever known. “I actually grew up at Australia Zoo. I think I’m the luckiest kid in the world.”
Robert still works with his mother Terri and big sister Bindi at the family’s 100-acre zoo where he deals with all the animals with the same hands on passion that his dad did.
Jimmy Fallon during the show said, “It’s so cool to see you like this, you’re actually your dad.”
The Irwin family is certainly a tight knit and supportive one with older sister Bindi taking to social media to make the comparison and tweet her pride with a message to her brother: “Tears in my eyes. So proud of Robert tonight. Robert, you are more and more like Dad every day. I’m forever thankful to be your sister.”
Seeing Robert like this definitely brings back memories of his dad and reminds us of his enthusiasm for life that was just so darn infectious! We’re so happy to see Robert carrying on his legacy like this- we’re sure Steve’s looking down proudly with a huge smile on his face knowing he’s left his work in very capable hands!
