Rosie O’Donnell and daughter Chelsea recently posed for a selfie together which shows the two may be on the road to rebuilding their relationship.
The actress posted the photo (below) on Thursday with the caption: “Chelsea and me – what a difference a year makes #hopelives.”
Rosie, 54, and Chelsea went through a difficult time last year and subsequently became estranged from each other. The 18 year old left home and was reported missing by a concerned Rosie. Chelsea, who suffers form mental illness and had not been taking her medication, was eventually found living with a 25-year-old alleged heroin dealer.
At the time Chelsea attacked her mother in the press and blasted her mothering skills saying the comedian had smoked marijuana in their house and barely interacted with her children.
The two reunited in June for Fran Drescher’s Cancer Schmancer charity Cabaret Cruise in New York.
“Chelsea brought a handsome male friend Nick Alliegro, and they all looked like a happy family,” a source close to Rosie said.
