Ryan Reynolds has some advice for expectant fathers who are thinking of being present in the delivery suite when their wives are giving birth (otherwise known as screaming profanities towards their partner’s direction!)
“Be in the room, you’re not Don Draper,” the actor said to GQ, “Your wife will never think it’s funny or charming if you tip your imaginary top hat and say, ‘At your cervix.’ Don’t do that.”
(Ryan Reynolds and wife Blake Lively are the proud parents of two children – a 2 year old daughter, James and a newborn whose gender and name hasn’t been announced or confirmed yet. Reynolds and Lively aren’t planning on revealing anything about their newborn anytime soon, either. Reynolds said on the Today show, “I just don’t feel the need to publish it. It’s a normal feeling that most people might have.”)
“Realise that you’re pretty much the least important thing in the room,” Reynolds shares. “It’s gonna go your wife, your baby, the doctor, a nurse, a doula if you have one… the air.”
Do you agree ladies? Was your other half much help in the delivery room?
